629 Locations in Thousand Islands Have Been Disinfected

It is done to contain the spread of COVID-19 transmission in Thousand Islands

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency Head Rahmat Kristianto says, as many as 629 locations have been disinfected along April 22 - December 11.

Of the 629 locations, 335 are in North Thousand Islands Sub-district and 294 are in South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

"It is done to contain the spread of COVID-19 transmission in Thousand Islands," he expressed, Saturday (12/12).

According to him, it is conducted in public service offices, neighborhood roads, houses of worship, schools, isolation houses, funeral centers, tourist areas, parks, and child-friendly playgrounds (RPTRA).

"In total we have spent 151.26 kg of chlorine. In details, 84.52 kg in North Thousand Islands and 66.74 kg in South Thousand Islands," he explained.

He hoped this action could be effective in curbing the disease in all areas of Thousand Islands.

"It is our routine agenda, where we spray more than twice in one location, we do as needed," he stated.
